Behind the Scenes of a Full-Day Wedding Shoot

A wedding day moves fast, and it only happens once. Full-day coverage means being on site from getting-ready shots through the last dance, so nothing important slips by unphotographed.

Morning: getting ready

I start with quiet, detail-focused shots — the dress, the rings, the shoes — before moving into candid coverage of the wedding party getting ready. This is usually the most relaxed part of the day, and it sets the tone for everything after.

Midday: ceremony and portraits

The ceremony is covered from two positions to catch both wide shots and close reaction shots. Immediately after, I keep formal portraits short and efficient so the couple can get back to their guests.

Evening: reception and candids

As the light fades, coverage shifts to candid, in-the-moment shots — toasts, dancing, and the small interactions between guests that tend to become everyone's favorite photos once the gallery is delivered.

Planning coverage around these three phases keeps the day organized without making it feel scripted, so the couple can just enjoy their wedding while everything gets captured.
